Collabforge worked with the Clean Energy Council (CEC), to cocreate an industry-wide training guide and role, skills, accreditation, and training matrix for Victoria’s clean energy workforce. Funded by the Victorian government, this guide is central to enabling the state’s workforce to meet current and future clean energy needs.

Through pre-workshop interviews and interactive workshops, Collabforge supported stakeholder codesign across the sector, which included workers, employers, training partners, unions, subject matter experts, and industry representatives. These sessions enabled stakeholders to build trust and understanding among participants, helping to identify and address priorities and competing interests effectively.

This process delivered a comprehensive matrix, mapping the skills, accreditation, and training pathways needed for clean energy roles across Victoria, specifically for onshore wind, solar, and battery projects. The matrix provided immediate shared value amongst participants for workforce planning and development, and was used to create an online training guide, allowing both employer and workforce users to better plan projects and find employment pathways.
