Dale Bowerman, Consultant

Dale Bowerman joined Collabforge in 2009. As a qualified Town Planner, he brings with him over 4 years of experience in Local Government. In his previous role with the City of Melbourne, Dale was an integral component of the Future Melbourne project, which was delivered by Collabforge and involved the wholesale re-engineering of the City of Melbourne's city planning process to a collaborative model. As the Online Community Manager for the Future Melbourne wiki, Dale has a firm understanding of virtual community dynamics and is passionate about the importance of public participation in the planning process.

With degrees in Urban Planning as well as Media & Communications, Dale adds a unique set of skills to Collabforge. During his time at the City of Melbourne, Dale also explored and initiated a variety of Web 2.0 initiatives. These included briefings for the CEO and various senior managers on the implications of social media within the organisation.

Most recently, Dale led the City of Melbourne's team in the annual Local Government Managers Association (LGMA) Challenge. He is a firm believer in the distinct advantages that arise when taking a collaborative approach to planning and is a more than valuable addition to the Collabforge team.
